Build your intercessory team and grow the prayer emphasis of your church by joining 120 other churches in this ongoing expression of united regional prayer.  Daily prayer for the region began in 1995.  By the year 2000, the crime rate in New York City had dropped by 40%, causing NYC to be named the safest city of 1 million people or more.  We attribute this to the ongoing prayers of churches.  After 9/11, we believe the hand of God averted an even larger loss of life because of the prayers that had been lifted up for the region through this daily prayer vigil.
